3 Important Facets of MMA Workouts

If you are planning to compete in MMA pound for pound it is important that you put dedication in your training. Workouts are necessary to keep your body in proper posture as well as to be prepared. These 3 facets of workouts would help you in proper body posture and weight.

  1. Stand Up Training – This training basically includes boxing and Muay Thai that concentrates on kicking and hitting. The kicks and strikes are important in any training and you can use heavy bag. After which you can practice sparring by utilizing proper pads.
  2. Ground Work – Positions in ground fighting are one of the important factors that any fighter should learn. In this sense, Jiu Jitsu and wrestling should be performed to learn some defensive movements. If you do not have this ground work you might lose the battle. As much as possible, you should combine ground and pound in your training for you to perform strikes and finish the battle in few seconds.
  3. Conditioning – Proper conditioning is required to any fighter because no matter how skilled you are if you are not in right condition you will not endure to last the fight. Intense cardio training is an ideal workout that you can do.
